Women's Basketball - Sat, Nov. 29, 2008
The BCU women's basketball team got off to a sluggish start in an 81-75 home loss to Dakota State.  Despite trailing by as many as 23 points in the first half while shooting 27.3 percent from the field, the Chargers went into the lockerroom trailing by only 11 (41-30).  The Chargers tied the game a couple times in the second half and even took a one-point advantage with 2:05 left to play.  The Lady T's, however, connected on 10 free throws in the final two minutes to slip away with the win.     For the game, the Chargers shot 40.3 percent, while the Lady T's shot 48.2 percent.  Liz Grider paced BCU with 30 points, four assists and five steals.  The freshmen interior duo of Megan Salcedo and Christa Stewart finished with 17 points, nine rebounds and 12 points, eight rebounds, respectively.  With the loss, Briar Cliff dropped to 4-5.  Dakota State is now 3-5.
