Briar Cliff guard Taylor Murren has been named this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Player-of-the-Week. Murren, a junior from Wahoo, Nebraska, averaged 18.0 ppg on the week in a pair of wins for the 18th ranked Chargers.
 
For the week he made 12-21 shots from the floor, including eight three point shots. He also went 4-4 at the foul line as Briar Cliff improved to 15-6 overall and 9-3 in the GPAC.
 
On the season, Murren is second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.5 ppg. He is also second on the team with 50 three-pointers. Murren and the Chargers have won five-straight and are set to play two nationally-ranked teams this week in Northwestern and Dordt.
