A sensational first half, both offensively and defensively, set the tone for the Chargers' 74-58 road victory over the Broncos of Hastings.  The Chargers opened the game with a 15-3 run and went on to shoot better than 57 percent in the first half.  The Chargers also held the Broncos to a first half field goal percentage of 29.6 percent. 

Taylor Murren led the Chargers with 19 points, three of which came on a half court buzzer beater to conclude the first half of play.  During the Chargers' current five-game winning streak, Murren is averaging 17.2 ppg.  Jake Shipley reached double figures for the 21st time this season as he finished with 11 points against the Broncos.  Eric Rohe hit double figures for the second time this year as he tossed in 10. 
 
For the game, the Chargers shot 53.3 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from beyond the arc.  The Chargers also outrebounded the Broncos, 29-25.  The Broncos finished the game shooting 41.6 percent from the field.
 
With the win, the Chargers improved to 15-6 overall and 9-3 in the GPAC.  The NAIA No. 18 Chargers are tied for second place in the conference standings with the 13th-ranked Red Raiders of Northwestern, who the Chargers will host on Wednesday.  Hastings is now 11-12 (5-8).
