The Charger football team picked up its second win of the season at Memorial Field, defeating Dordt, 27-16.  David Shepard rushed for over 100 yards for the first time in his career and scored twice.  Shepard ran wild over the Defenders, racking up 187 yards.  Kyle Gerdes was 22-30 with one touchdown.  Chase Colvin led all BC receivers with 10 catches for 107 yards.  The Chargers finished the game with 439 total yards of offense, their second-best total of the season.  The BCU defense held Dordt to only 299 yards, including 89 on the ground.With the victory, the Chargers improved to 2-7 overall and 2-6 in the GPAC.  Dordt is now 1-8 overall and 1-7 in conference play. The Chargers will travel to play at nationally-ranked Morningside, next Saturday.
