The Warriors of Midland Lutheran, ranked 22nd in the nation, scored 20 unanswered points and rallied from a 7-3 halftime deficit to defeat the Chargers, 20-7.  The Chargers scored first on their second possession of the game with a 10-yard strike from Kyle Gerdes to Chase Colvin.  Five turnovers then plagued the Chargers.
Stavhn Leavy nearly topped the 100-yard mark on the ground with 95 yards on 25 carries to pace the BCU offense.  Kyle Gerdes was 17-33 for 179 yards and three interceptions.  Kaleb Filis, in his first action of the season, was 1-6 for 12 yards with an interception. 
 
The Charger defense held the conference's No. 1 rushing offense to only 130 yards on 46 attempts.  Midland Lutheran finished with 294 total yards of offense, 20 more than Briar Cliff's total.  Jarrod Makovicka finished with a game-high nine solo tackles and 13 total.  He also recorded his conference-leading fourth fumble recovery of the season.
