On Saturday, Feb. 4, during WinterFest, the playing surface at Briar Cliff University's Newman Flanagan Center will be officially named Ray Nacke Court. The dedication will take place in conjunction with the 4 p.m. men's basketball game that day against Mount Marty. Nacke coached the Chargers for 26 years, compiling over 500 career wins. He created the well-known Panamanian Pipeline and took the Chargers to 11 NAIA National Tournaments. Following his career with the Chargers, he was inducted into both the Briar Cliff Athletic Hall of Fame and the NAIA Hall of Fame.  More information about the dedication and tribute will be released soon.
